1) How have you seen the role of the Talent Acquisition Specialist evolve during your career, and how do you think it will change in the coming years?

During my experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, including my current role at Enfinity Global, I have noticed how the job market has shifted from a company-centric approach to a candidate-centric one. This means it is increasingly common to encounter candidates with multiple job offers on the table, regardless of whether they are actively seeking new opportunities. Additionally, candidates tend to prefer “purpose-driven” organizations that match their values and personal statements.

What I believe can be the turning point is understanding that the difference lies not only in offering new professional opportunities but also in proposing meaningful projects that enrich candidates’ personal and professional lives. In the renewable energy sector, in particular, the number of new companies has grown significantly, which aligns with the increasing academic offerings of courses focused on sustainability and energy. Therefore, I believe it is essential to build a relationship based on trust from the very first contact, as true success stems from positive human interactions.

2) Remote work and hybrid models have changed the landscape of human resources. How has your candidate selection strategy evolved in response to these transformations?

Since the onset of Covid, the world of work management has undergone significant transformations, especially regarding in-person and remote work. Smart working is indeed an added value not only for productivity but also for work-life balance, facilitating those who manage family commitments or commuting.

In human resources, we have also greatly optimized our schedules: in-person interviews are often replaced by virtual meetings, allowing us to reach candidates anywhere and take advantage of flexible hours.

This does not diminish the importance of face-to-face meetings, which are essential for candidates to get to know the environment and future colleagues. However, conducting an initial online screening helps us manage the volume of applications more efficiently, accelerating the selection processes. Additionally, since Enfinity is an international organization with a presence in Italy, Spain, America, the Netherlands, and Japan, using online platforms allows us to stay in touch with colleagues, even if we are not sitting at the same desk.

3) How do you stay updated on best practices in the field of human resources, and what resources or networks do you find most useful for your professional development?

I enjoy participating in webinars where HR experts and business leaders share the latest trends and innovations. I also make use of various specialized platforms and newsletters which offer up-to-date courses and articles. I find it very helpful to engage with other HR professionals on specific topics like change management and employer engagement, as the best solutions often emerge from real situations faced by colleagues in the field.

Additionally, within the company, we organize opportunities for dialogue among all HR colleagues from the various countries where Enfinity operates, to collaboratively define new functional strategies for talent attraction and employee development. This also gives us the chance to develop new internal tools that can be beneficial for the entire organization.

4) What is the importance of continuous learning for professional success, and how can young people integrate it into their daily routines?

Continuous learning is essential for professional success, especially in a rapidly changing work environment. For young people, integrating learning into their daily routine may seem challenging, but dedicating 15-20 minutes to reading articles or utilizing apps and platforms can be very helpful for accessing short and flexible courses, even during commutes or in their free time.

As a company, we have developed an internal platform called E-campus, where users can access various multimedia content, covering both company-related topics and specialized courses, with the opportunity to obtain certifications upon course completion and monitor their progress. To make the experience more engaging, some videos on the platform have been filmed by our own employees, share information about their teams or various company themes. This makes learning more enjoyable and allows us to feel connected, even while working in different parts of the world.
